Sportshall Athletics 25th January 2018
Well done to Year 5 for taking part in this mornings heats. Nine schools took part this morning and placed 7th in all. Thanks to Miss Allcoat and Miss Ranaghan for taking the Year 5 team.
Year 6 took part in the afternoon heats which saw eight teams compete. They did extremely well winning all but two races on the track and those other two were second place. Fantastic running by all! We now eagerly await news of overall placing. Hopefully Year 6 have scored enough points to earn a place at the county finals.
All who took part should be very proud of themselves. Impeccable behaviour and sportsmanship, offering a handshake at the end of each race.
We will keep you posted!

PE and Sports Premium
What is the School Sports Premium?
As part of the Olympic legacy, the Department of Education and the Department of Health have made £150 million available to all primary schools in the United Kingdom. This equates to a grant of £8000 per school, plus an additional £5 per pupil in key stages one and two.
The funding is ring-fenced, meaning that it can only be spent on improving the provision of physical education, school sport and healthy, active lifestyles.
We will use this to:
