Welcome to PSHE!
Here you will find out about the different topics and events taking place in school each term.
Our SEAL theme for this term is New Beginnings
This theme focuses on developing children's knowledge, understanding and skills in three key social and emotional aspects of learning: empathy, managing feelings (with a focus on anger) and social skills.
Children will have the opportunity to build on the work from last term, thinking about cooperation and valuing diversity. They will also focus on four key content areas: developing the social skills of friendship, working well together in a group, managing anger and resolving conflict.
We will also be looking at and developing a better understanding of British values.
Using the Olympics and Paralympics as a focus, we were able to see how Studfall has lots of shared and similar values.
Here are some of the ideas we shared in assembly.
Anti-Bullying and Internet Safety Week takes place from Monday 14th November 2016.
We believe that children learn better when they feel happy and safe at school!
During the week children will have the opportunity to recognise and celebrate differences; to discuss how to form positive friendships and relationships; look at ways of showing respect for one another, and how to recognise the difference between an act of unkindness and bullying. They will also look at the different ways they can keep themselves self whilst using the internet.
Parents are invited to join us throughout the week. Please look at the Year group's Termly Information sheet, or ask your child's class teacher for more details.
We look forward to welcoming you in!

As a school, we were invited to take part in a national poster competition by L'Oreal. The poster was to make children aware of the sun safety campaign, Wrap, Splat Hat.
The prize was amazing - a goody bag for the winner and £4000 for the school. The winning poster will be displayed around national schools, as well as in the L'Oreal offices in London.
Lots of us entered and Amelia W (class 12) won!!!
Congratulations Amelia - we are so proud and grateful :)
Our town branch of The British Legion is running a competition to help raise awareness and funds for The Poppy Appeal.
Children have been invited to design an A4 poster which must include a poppy or poppies.
The winning entry will be judged by the Corby Branch in October. This will then be turned into a postcard to be sold at Corby Town Centre during Poppy week - how exciting and worthwhile!
Here are our entries (fingers crossed we might have a winner here).
