Welcome to Term 5 in Year 1!
We hope you all had a wonderful Easter holiday. We have a very busy and exciting term ahead...!
We are focusing on a History topic which aims to answer the question ‘Explorers – where would you go?’ We will be studying three famous real-life explorers – Neil Armstrong, Christopher Columbus and Amelia Earhart, as well as discovering what some other well-known fictional characters got up to during their adventures!
Our Science investigations this term will involve exploring the season of Spring and also learning about different types of trees....
Our Literacy texts this term will include ‘Whatever Next’ by Jill Murphy, as well as a selection of alien stories and space poems. The children will also be writing facts about the moon in the form of a report.
