Term 6 information
We hope you have all had a lovely break and are ready for our final term - it has gone so quickly!
We have a very busy and exciting final term ahead of us...!
This term we are focusing on learning all about Animals!
Within this topic we will be learning all about Animals across different areas of the Curriculum. We will be looking at... fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals - how exciting! Throughout this term within our learning, we aim to answer the question...
"Do fish have fingers?"
Our Science investigations this term will involve exploring further into the seasons of Spring and Summer.
We will also be identifying animals and classifying them into...
Carnivores, herbivores and omnivores!
Our Literacy texts this term will include 'Farmer Duck' by Martin Waddell and Helen Oxenbury, and 'What the Ladybird Heard' by Julia Donaldson.
We will also be looking at a range of non-fiction texts about Animals .
Towards the end of the term the children will also be having a go at writing their own Newspaper report based on the story 'What the Ladybird Heard...'
For more information on other curriculum areas, please see the Term 6 topic web below…
